Louisville, Michigan Advance To Final Stage Of Dropping Out Of College To Enter NBA Draft
(THE GIST) — After wins over Wichita State and Syracuse this weekend, No. 1 Louisville and No 4. Michigan are set to face off Monday night in the NCAA title game — the last event in the non-degree-earning college careers of players who will now be able to enter the NBA draft in June.
Russ Smith, Louisville's do-everything guard, and Trey Burke, Michigan's Wooden Award winning point-guard—both keys to tonight's match-up—are thought to be among the top players who will no longer have to keep up the charade of taking college classes and not getting paid to play as of tomorrow morning.
